Pure Kattuyanam Rice
Soak Before Cooking – Wash thoroughly and soak the rice in water for 6–8 hours (overnight soaking is best). This softens the grains and enhances the texture.
Cooking Ratio – Use 1 cup rice : 3–3.5 cups water depending on desired softness.
Pressure Cooker Method – Cook for 6–7 whistles on medium flame. Allow pressure to release naturally.
Pot Cooking Method – Boil water, add soaked rice, and cook until soft. Drain excess water if needed.
